Miranda also stars in the titular role of the first Treasury Secretary and Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, along with the majority of the original principal Broadway cast of the musical.
Hamilton was originally intended to be released theatrically on October 15, 2021. However, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was moved up and was released digitally worldwide on Disney+ on July 3, 2020. The film was lauded by critics, who praised the visuals, performances, and directing.
